The Hugo Cocktail originated from the South Tyrol. It was invented by Roland Gruber and has gone on to be one of the most popular summer time cocktails in Germany. It is one of my summer favourites. It combines Elderflower Cordial, prosecco and sparkling mineral water, with a slice of lime and a few mint leaves. It tastes even better with homemade Elderflower Cordial. As a non alcoholic variation you can mix it with sparkling apple juice.
